Camping - Online Reservations Now Available!

Electricity has come to New Wood Campground!  As of June 27 the campsites have been energized.  Sites 1-5 have up to 50 amp service and sites 6 & 7 have up to 30 amp service.  Please do not tamper with the main breaker near the highway, it should only be used to cut power in an emergency!  

 

As of noon Tuesday August 26, 2025 Lincoln County will only be accepting online camping registration and will accept online reservations with credit card payments.  A link will be provided to our online reservation system where campers must create an account to reserve a campsite.  Please create an account, log in and follow the prompts to reserve your site.  Only one reservation may be made at a time.

Campsites may be reserved up to 365 days prior to the day you wish to camp.

 

Campsites may be reserved upon arrival at the campground if they are not already reserved. 

 

With the rollover to online reservations, the following fee increases will also go into effect:

 

New Wood (electric hook-ups now available) $35.00/night.

 

Otter Lake  $25.00/night.

 

Underdown $25.00/night.

 

A credit card use fee will also be added.  $1.00 fee for charges up to $40.00 and 2-1/2% for charges over $40.00.

We hope you will enjoy the convenience and ability to reserve a site prior to traveling to our campgrounds.

 

Also new is the firewood shelter with a supply of cut and split firewood.  Please only use what you need.

It's important for RV owners to be responsible and environmentally conscious when disposing of their waste to help preserve the natural beauty of the County Forest and to comply with the regulations regarding waste disposal. Listed below are four sanitary dump stations available for campers.

Merrill Wastewater Treatment Plant ($5 RV dumping fee) (7am-3pm Mon-Fri. 7am-1:30pm Sat., Sunday; holidays) 2606 Sturdevant St. Merrill, WI 54452

To help prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer other invasive pests and diseases, Lincoln County Forestry Department provides campfire wood for the County's campgrounds. 

We ask that you not bring firewood to our campgrounds from more than 10 miles away from the campground or property.
