Winter ATV and Snowmobile Trail Updates
March 2, 2026
Lincoln County’s funded snowmobile & winter ATV trails (County Administrated Trails) will CLOSE for the season at 4:00PM Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
- Please be advised that even if there is additional snowfall later in March, the trails will not reopen.
We kindly ask riders to follow all “TRAIL CLOSED” signs, stay on marked routes, and respect private property. Our trail system exists thanks to the generosity of local landowners, and your cooperation helps keep these trails open for everyone to enjoy.
Local snowmobile clubs remind riders to stay off lakes and rivers unless a trail has been clearly marked by a club.
Lincoln County would like to extend our gratitude to our local snowmobile clubs for their hard work in preparing and maintaining these trails throughout this season. We truly appreciate your dedication and efforts. Thank you for a Great Season!
Their commitment and volunteer work are essential to maintaining and improving Lincoln County’s trail system. We encourage riders to thank these volunteers, consider joining a club, and support these organizations through active participation. Without the ongoing work of these clubs, our trail network would not be possible.
We also encourage riders to patronize the local businesses that sponsor and support these clubs.
For the latest trail conditions, please visit co.lincoln.wi.us or call our Trail Hotline at (715) 539-1033.
Be safe, ride responsibly, and enjoy Lincoln County’s trails.
