Lincoln County Opioid Settlement Task Force

Lincoln County entered into the opioid settlement agreements on March 21, 2023.  The Lincoln County Board of Health resolved that a task force be created to provide recommendations to the Board for how to use the funds, consistent with the terms of the settlement agreements.

Purpose

The purpose of the Opioid Settlement Task Force is to complete a community assessment of needs and to provide recommendation to the County Board for further approval to use the funds.

Mission 

To create a plan for the use of the Opioid Settlement dollars that will support the Lincoln County residents to combat the current opioid epidemic.  This plan shall revolve around the following guiding principles:

  • Spend Money to Save Lives

  • Use Evidence to Guide Spending

  • Invest In Youth Prevention

  • Focus on Racial Equity

  • Develop a Fair and Transparent Process
