Emergency Support Function (ESF) #1 Transportation helps Lincoln County manage their transportation infrastructure systems in response to and recovery from emergency/ disasters.
Lincoln County Highway Department, with the assistance of support agencies, provides transportation incident management, including the following activities:
- Managing and monitoring of responsible roadways.
- Report status of and damage to the transportation system and infrastructure as a result of an incident or event.
- Identify temporary alternative transportation solutions that can be implemented when systems or infrastructure are damaged, unavailable, or overwhelmed.
- Coordinate and support prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery activities among transportation stakeholders to include planning, training and exercises.
- Coordinate the restoration and recovery of the transportation systems and infrastructure.
