Dog Licenses

Contact your municipality (Town Treasurer) to license your dogs.

Dog License Application Form can be found under Supporting Documents listed below.  This form is to be used for all dogs.

Dog Licenses are due on or before March 31st.  You must provide proof of current rabies vaccination. 

• Neutered/Spayed Dog - $10
• Unaltered Male/Female Dog = $30

After March 31st, dog license fees increase as indicated below.  You must provide proof of current rabies vaccination. 

• Neutered/Spayed Dog = $20 + $5 late fee = $25
• Unaltered Male/Female Dog = $60 + $5 late fee = $65

Kennel licenses:  Available from your Town Treasurer only. Due on or before March 31st.    You must provide a list of your dogs with proof of current rabies vaccination.

• Kennel license fee is $35 up to 12 dogs.   Over 12 there is an additional fee of $3 per dog. 

After March 31st:

• Kennel license fee is $35 up to 12 dogs. Over 12 a fee of $3 per dog, plus $5.00 late fee for each dog.  Example: $35 + 15 dogs (3 X $3 = $9) + ($5 X 15 = $75.)  Amount due is $119)

Pursuant to Wis. Stat. 174 and Chapter 12 Lincoln County Code.

Penalty for unlicensed dog is $100
