Adult Mental Health First Aid Training at No Cost

Healthy Minds for Lincoln County is hosting two Adult Mental Health First Aid trainings at no cost to participants. Trainings will be held in both Merrill and Tomahawk. Thank you to UW-Madison Division of Extension and Aspirus Health for sponsoring these trainings. 

Adult Mental Health First Aid (In Person) 

  • April 1, 8 am – 4:30 pm
  • Lincoln County Health and Human Services Building, 607 N. Sales St., Merrill
  • Participants will complete a full in person training.
  • Limited to 30 adults.
  • Lunch, snacks and refreshments provided.

Adult Mental Health First Aid (Blended)

  • May 8 & 10, 1:30 – 4:30 pm (must attend both sessions)
  • Tomahawk Public Library, 300 W Lincoln Ave., Tomahawk
  • Participants will complete a two hour, self-paced online class and then complete two half day trainings.
  • Limited to 30 adults.
  • Light snacks and refreshments provided.

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
