Lincoln County Health Department is looking to hire a health aide for limited hours in the fall. This is a perfect position for someone wanting to work a few hours in the fall. The Health Aide will conduct hearing screenings in the school setting during school hours. This position has limited hours and can be flexible with collaboration to meet school needs and personal needs until all required screenings are completed. It is anticipated that it would be approximately a total of 40 hours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Health Aide performs the following functions within the overarching framework of Lincoln County Health Department’s provision of the core functions and essential services of public health. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Provides clinic coordination including developing and coordinating scheduling, gathering supplies, forms, and equipment in preparing for services provided.
  • Document patient intervention data in medical records. Uses established medical record forms and documentation practices.
  • Provide assistants with set up and take down of clinic when needed.
  • Provides hearing testing using an audiometer and/or OAE.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

Graduation from high school and satisfactory completion of a certified nursing assistant course; or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

WAGE:

This position has a hourly wage of $16.86 per hour. There are no benefits associated with this position.
