Department: Veteran's Services
Veterans and their spouses may receive long term care services at King, Wisconsin (Waupaca County) or near Union Grove, Wisconsin (Racine County).
The Wisconsin Veterans Home at King is located on Rainbow Lake and provides skilled nursing and some domiciliary care on a picturesque and historic campus.
The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove offers a range of assisted living. The services on this campus are expanding and will also include skilled nursing.
Veterans and spouses must apply income and assets to the cost of their care, with a portion of the cost for the veteran typically offset by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
