Lincoln County Health Department provides confidential consultation and follow-up for surveillance and control of specific infectious diseases, including vector-borne diseases, vaccine preventable diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, and food and waterborne illnesses.

Program Objectives:
- Investigation, follow-up and surveillance for all reported communicable diseases
- Institute control measures to protect the public
- Prevention of vaccine preventable disease through immunization
- Provide communicable disease education to health care providers, community members and individuals diagnosed.

Reporting Communicable Disease:
Wisconsin Statutues 252 require the reporting of communicable disease to the local health department for follow-up.

Food and Waterborne Illness
Examples:

- Campylobacteriosis
- Giardiasis
- Salmonellosis

Vector-Borne Disease
Examples:

- Blastomycosis
- Ehrlichiosis
- Lyme Disease
- West Nile Virus

Vaccine-Preventable Disease
Examples:

- Hepatitis
- Measles
- Meningitis
- Mumps
- Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)

Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Examples:

- Chlamydia (CT)
- Chancroid
- Gonorrhea (GC)
- Syphilis (all stages)

Tuberculosis
TB Skin testing is available for $15.
